Play Condoms
Sexual Health Campaign / Packaging Design

The Play campaign revolved around "fun"

The packaging aims create a desire to purchase
the product for aesthetic reasons, rather than the
necessity of condoms. Simply by owning the
product, safe sex is promoted

The illustration below was included in the package
as a printed leaflet. It portrays a humorous narrative
parallel between sex, and the levels in a game. The
game, which includes the use of a condom, appears
fun. It does not lecture, not talk down to, simply
encourages safe sex in a fun message that talks in
a true, youthful voice.

Loughborough Identity
Identity

Brief: We were given the logo above, and asked to produce design work to reflect Loughborough's new identity

Solution: I designed theatre tickets and a developed a concept for a town sculpture. The tickets displayed a curved background which was used to cut across the sharp logo, and reflect the landscape surrounding the town. The dynamic sculpture moves depending on your perspective. This concept reflects the direction and movement of the arrows within the new logo

The Ripple Effect
Viral Campaign

Brief: Design a campaign for water poverty awareness

Solution: My idea was to flood a large collection of websites with dirty water. As someone is logging into facebook for example, the screen would slowly fill with dirty water. The viewer follows the link and discovers the Ripple Effect awareness campaign. The Ripple Effect would aim to flood a selection of major websites on the same day, creating an internet phenomenon. A variety of chartites and companies were interested in getting involved, including Pepsi, Water Aid and Oxfam

Laces
Typography

Brief: We were asked to create and develop an original and unique typeface

Solution: I designed a shoe lace themed font with each letter containing a front and back half of a shoe. As each letter is added, the line of shoes grows longer. The illustrated design was intended to appear fun and youthful. It was originally drawn by hand before being scanned and edited on photoshop

Pro Alcohol
Advertisement

Brief: Develop a campaign promoting alcohol abuse

Solution: To promote alcohol abuse (to which I obviously do not condone), I created a storyboard for a television commercial using a water fight as a metaphor for excessive drinking. I labelled alcohol as the 'liquid of fun' and used the simple tag line: lets play. The commericial is clean, innocent and relays no negative connatations of binge drinking

Solution: I created a 3D Powerpoint presentation in repsonse to the recent advances in 3D entertainment. I gave the viewers red/cyan anaglyth glasses and produced a creative and unique presentation, reflective of the subject
